Rocco Russo Bio

Welcome to my district page. I am excited to have another opportunity to communicate with my students, their parents and guardians, and this wonderful community! 

This year will be my 6th year here in the Mt. Pleasant Community School District. It will be my second year of splitting up my duties between WisdomQuest and Harlan Elementary.  I can tell you it’s so much fun going from high school students in the morning, and then switching it up to K-2nd grade in the afternoon. 

In addition to teaching, I also love to coach.  It is my passion.  I currently am an assistant coach on the offensive line for varsity football, offensive coordinator for junior varsity football, and 7^th grade boys basketball.

I graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College with BA degree in K-12 Physical Education. I really enjoy working with the students here in the Mt. Pleasant community. 

Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family- my fiancé, Rheanna, our two daughters, our dog, and our kitty. I also enjoy watching sports, weight lifting, and more family time.
